Vitamin K deficiency treatment:



Vitamin K deficiency is treated in infants by a single injection of 5 mg of phylloquinone. Adults, who do not suffer from fat absorption diseases, are usually treated with oral vitamin K supplements, such as phylloquinone 10 mg every day for a week if the vitamin K deficiency is not severe. In severe, or prolonged vitamin deficiency injection of phylloquinone are given.
