Vitamin E deficiency treatment:
Prematurely born infants with vitamin E deficiency are usually treated for only a few weeks with injections of vitamin E. In case of adults suffering from severe vitamin E deficiency the treatment lasts for up to six months with weekly injections of vitamin E usually in the form of 100 mg alpha-tocopherol. In less severe cases vitamin E supplements are taken by mouth.
